Anne is a dedicated Women’s and Peer Support Officer with a strong background in community development, advocacy, and trauma-informed care. With a BA in Social Science and Cultural Innovation, she brings both academic insight and practical expertise to her work, complemented by a range of professional certifications including First Aid, Community Development (QQI), Child First, ASSIST Suicide Prevention, and Ruhama’s Knowing Trafficking programme.
Her career spans a variety of impactful roles, including Domestic, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (DSGBV) Officer, Peer Support Officer, Administrator, and Secretarial Assistant at the Dáil. In each of these roles, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to empowering women, advocating for wellbeing, and creating safe and supportive environments.
Grounded in empathy, active listening, and critical thinking, Anne is skilled in crisis management, facilitation, advocacy, and resource coordination. Her trauma-informed approach allows her to meet individuals where they are, offering compassionate support while guiding them toward empowerment and resilience. She is equally effective working within a team or independently, maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and a solutions-focused mindset.
Motivated by a passion for community connection and women’s empowerment, Anne believes in the power of lived experience to drive meaningful change. She finds purpose in helping women navigate challenges, access resources, and build confidence and capacity. Her work is rooted in the belief that every woman deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported.
Outside of her professional role, she prioritises self-care and creative expression. She enjoys exploring wellness practices and new skills through art, craft, and design, staying grounded so she can be the best support to others.
