She brings over seven years of experience in designing and implementing programmes that support women and girls, particularly survivors of child marriage, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), and teenage pregnancy. Her work spans grassroots mobilization, community empowerment, and national policy advocacy. She has led several high-impact advocacy efforts, including campaigns to amend Tanzania’s Law of Marriage Act (1971). Euphomia has also coordinated two national coalitions of civil society organisations working to influence legal reforms, demonstrating her expertise in movement-building and stakeholder engagement. Euphomia is a skilled communicator and facilitator, known for her ability to create safe, inclusive spaces where women and girls can meaningfully engage with issues of gender equality, human rights, and global justice. Her strengths lie in mobilising communities, fostering dialogue, and inspiring action at both local and national levels. With strong project management skills and deep intercultural competence, she effectively connects diverse groups and drives collective action for social change. Her work is grounded in a lifelong commitment to advancing gender equality through both grassroots activism and policy reform. Outside of work, Euphomia enjoys cooking dishes from the many cultures she’s encountered, believing that food, like advocacy, is a powerful way to bring people together.
